Estimation of Quality of Bacopa Monnieri and Psoralea Corylifolia Plants

The objective of this study was to evaluate Bacopa monnieri and Psoralea corylifolia plants available in India to verify compliance with prescribed standards of quality control methods on herbs. Foreign matter, morphology, ash values, extractive values, moisture content, loss on drying, microbiological examination, crude fiber, crude protein content, crude fat content, nitrogen free extract, pesticide residues, limit test of arsenic and heavy metals were studied.
